Congratulations on the award. Enjoy it and I look forward to seeing you at your new site! I'm considering the same move. Just haven't decided when.

It is a beautifully designed award. Well done Hawk.
Hopefully if you follow what I am doing it will help you come to a decision Hawk.

You have one advantage in that you already use Wordpress so are familiar with most of the aspects. The learning curve for you will not be as steep. Another major plus with your move is that you can get Wordpress.com to divert your current blog URL to your own domain. You would have none of the problems with losing visitors as all your old posts will still be found.
I will talk about your kind of move in a post soon so hopefully that may help you. In the meantime please do ask me as many questions about it as you wish. This helps me know what others need to know too so do not hesitate to ask. If you do not want to do it by comment you can contact me via the contact link on this blog (You can leave your email addy in a message there too - it is not so secure doing that in a comment)

PS - contact link got left of in transfer to new template - will fix that right now :-)

You are very kind to extend the offer of assistance. It is appreciated. I have been visiting your site through my reader since I noticed the link with the award. You have a great place, a wealth of information and I thank you for putting it out to us inept bloggers as a resource. Lord knows I can use all the assistance I can get. My transistion will probably be later rather than sooner - just not enough time to do all that I need to at this moment. I'm a reader and fan so I will be back.

Thanks.

I almost forgot to mention. Since I found your site such a wealth of great information, I linked you on my roll!

Peace and all that jazz!

Thanks Hawk. I have enjoyed reading your blog too. Makes a pleasant change - instead of having to read about blogging itself all the time.

I am not intending to do much if any posting on this blog in the future although I will be re-doing posts that I think may still be of interest over to my new blog. I am doing this rather than duplicating posts on both blogs.

It really appreciate the link although it may be better to link to my new blog rather than this.

Duly noted. I will make the change!
